Don't mind the silly Theme. It's just something to look at while we're bored and waiting to actually do the redesign/customization of a theme.

So there is a lot of ideas on here of stuff to do.

I looked over what was available at CCK and this came to mind.

So the ideas behind this site are multi-fold.

One of them is to help facilitate a gift economy based upon mutual-aid and skill sharing amplified with open-source technology.

The way I'm planning on doing this is probably with a user profile that defines various skills that people have.

Another idea is to create a directory of places utilizing the location module.

http://drupal.org/project/autocreate could be used to enable people to create events and add locations at the same time they are creating the events/adding them to the calendar. it will have to be tested. -- nope it doesn't allow you to select an existing one or create one. it just assumes you want a new one.
